A couple of weeks ago, we went to Granny’s house to pick apricots. Only I had the chills and a fever, and just felt yucky at the time, so I basically sat on the back step and watched Kyle pick the apricots for me. Then since I was sick when we got the apricots, they went directly into the fridge when we got home. They sat there for quite awhile before I was well enough to tackle them, and by then some of them were yucky, and a bunch of them had frozen. I guess the air wasn’t circulating very well in the fridge and certain areas just got colder than others. So there weren’t very many that were worth canning as plain halves. I ended up making jam, syrup, puree and pie filling.
