Little Helpers

Every month home depot has a workshop for kids where they get to make a project from start to finish. We’ve never actually been for one reason or another, but this morning we remembered about it ahead of time and planned on it. So Kyle took Ethan, Tyra and Jeremy and they each got to make a pencil box. At home depot they were also each given an orange home depot apron, to help protect their clothes while they were working on their projects. And they got a pin to represent their project to pin on their apron, and when they finished they received certificates for a free kids meal at Del Taco. They had LOADS of fun, and they have been carrying their pencil boxes, and the skateboard toys that they got in their kids meals around all day today.

This afternoon Kyle was putting together a new video cabinet so we can lock away the rest of the movies so little hands don’t hurt them. I was working on cleaning the kitchen and rearanging stuff in the storage room, but at one point I turned around and saw that Kyle had a bunch of little helpers in orange aprons:

I thought that was just so cute. 🙂

Look Alikes

I have always thought that Chloe looks a lot like Jeremy did as a baby (just in a dress instead).  But this is just too funny:

This is Jeremy back in 2008.

And this is Chloe just last night. She does this every time we ask her where her food went (as long as she ate it). So funny. 🙂

Guess Who?

Looking through the pictures on the camera, it appears that some of my children were trying their hand at photography. However, they left evidence to show WHO had been touching the camera!

Exhibit A:

Brown eyes…

And looking at the pictures of Jeremy’s stuffed animals taken right before this one, I’m going to have to say that it’s Jeremy!

Exhibit B:

Now at first I thought Ethan was the culprit here. Just because the picture is of my paused game of Jr Pacman on my computer. However, look at the shape of the little photographer’s heads shadow on my screen…..Hm doesn’t look like Ethan….Well this picture taken RIGHT after the one of the computer screen gives it away!

Yup TYRA!

Exhibit C:

Blue eyes…

Fuzzy white hair….

Totally Dinah!!!!

Preschool

Jeremy was really sad that he wouldn’t get to be going to kindergarten this year, but he missed the cut-off by about 3 months. So I wanted to do SOMETHING with him. I heard about a group of moms in our ward that were planning on having a little preschool for their kids and I asked if Jeremy could join and they said yes! So it’s a group of 8 kids and they meet on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and each mom takes a week to teach, and we just rotate through everyone. And there is another sister that just loves to teach preschool so there are nine teachers and that means I only have to teach one week out of every nine, which comes to I think a total of 4 weeks out of the whole school year. I can handle that! 🙂

Jeremy was just SO excited to hear that he gets to go to ‘preschool’ he’s been wearing his backpack every morning when we take Ethan and Tyra to school. Today was the first day, and it was only a half day but he was so excited just the same.

After I picked him up from preschool and he was telling me that he got to use ‘his’ crayons (I put supplies in his backpack for him to use at preschool), but he was sad that he didn’t get to use his scissors or his pencil. I told him, that’s ok, you’ll be going back to preschool and you’ll get to do different things each time. Later I heard him trying to since the ABC’s. I say ‘trying’ because he fumbled a bit, but that was more of the ABC’s than I’ve  heard him sing before. So cute.
