Minnie Having a Snack

After we dropped Debby off, and got home, we unloaded the van and crashed in our beds for a bit. Driving through the night is nice because the kids sleep most of the time and therefore there are fewer potty stops, but it is HARD on us big people in the front that need to stay awake the whole time!

I came out to the kitchen after laying down a bit, and found that Minnie Mouse had been having a snack, and she wasn’t sharing.

Beef jerky in her mouth….candy wrappers….open bag of cookies….silly mouse! In all actuality Lydia was probably feeding Minnie and helping herself to snacks as well. 😛

Lydia’s First Home Depot Kids Workshop

We like to go to the kids workshops at Home Depot, even if there are months when we aren’t able to. This month we made it work, and this time we let Lydia do the project to. The kids got to make Despicable Me tic tac toe games, and Kyle and I spend our time helping them. Some of them, require more help than some of the others. Ethan for example can mostly do the projects on his own, although sometimes he gets the pieces together crooked and the next piece doesn’t fit in it properly because of that. Lydia on the other hand, needs help with most of it. I helped place the pieces properly and got the nails started then I tried to hold it in such a way that she could pound the nails in, without pounding my fingers. 😉

Sick children

WP_20131017_004

Rebecca has pointed out to me on multiple occasions that when it comes to having children get sick, she much rather prefers sleepy lethargic children, the type that just want to sleep all day; over barfy children (need no explanation here, but its worse with the young ones that don’t recognize the feeling and fail to reach the toilet on time.)

Well, after the last two nights of being up most of the night with feverish crying children, she exclaimed, “I wanted them sleepy sick! Not this!”

To which I had to point out, “you just said you didn’t want them barfy sick. You need to be more specific on your order.”
