The kids have been so excited this week, anticipating the arrival of Kyle’s sister, Liesl. We went last night to the airport to pick her up, and all the way home Tyra was just so excited and talking Liesl’s ear off. It was so funny. And when Liesl pulled out her iphone to send a message to Ian that she had arrived Ethan was just so interested in her little gadget and was leaning over her shoulder to watch everything she was doing.
“Stu”
I was down the hall this afternoon cleaning up in my bedroom when I heard Dinah start crying. I sighed and asked myself “Who’s taking what from Dinah?” A couple minutes later though she still hadn’t stopped and was getting more frantic, so I stopped what I was doing to go find out what was wrong. As I came into the living room this is what I saw:
Dinah looked at me and in a pathetic voice said “Stu” (translation ‘Stuck’). Yup she was stuck. I guess she climbed onto the arm of the couch and slid down between the arms of the couch and chair, and there happens to be a stack of food storage between the couch and chair as well, so she was wedged between the couch the chair and the stack of food storage. Sigh, she is so cute.

Jeremy’s new carseat
Jeremy has been upgraded to a big boy carseat. He is 31 pounds now, so he can sit in the booster that has a back on it. He is so excited. He hasn’t figured out how to buckle himself yet, but he is happy that he can unbuckle himself and let himself out of the car when we get home (instead of waiting for me to get to his carseat to let him out).
