WOOOOHOOOO! We paid off our mini-van loan today. We have been working on paying the mini-van off for quite awhile, and Kyle called up the bank this afternoon and made the last payment and it’s DONE! It feels so good. They said that we should have the pink slip in a few weeks. SWEET!
Car Accident
Wendy was rear-ended yesterday. She was leaving our neighborhood on her way to work, when it happened. She was stopped at the stop sign getting ready to turn out onto the main road leaving our neighborhood when the lady hit her. The other lady had a ciggarette in one hand and her drink fell as she went around the roundabout so with her other hand she went to catch it, thus she was not paying attention and ran into Wendy. Wendy is fine, she was rather shook up that she had been involved in an accident. The car isn’t as damaged as it could be. The back bumper is just dinged enough that we can’t get the trunk open. So I just hope Wendy doesn’t blow a tire before we can get it fixed 😉
Update on my parents
Well my parents ended up having my cousin, Dana come and take Cookie to Burbank, CA to be with her for a few days, rather than sending her to the fair grounds. But after that, the fire seemed to travel more north and away from them, rather than west and toward them. So they have not needed to evacuate.
Yorba Linda, California Ablaze
I got word this afternoon that there is a big fire in Orange County, between Corona and Yorba Linda, and also in Brea. My sister, Patsy’s work at Savi Ranch was evacuated this afternoon (around 4:30 PST) and also my sister, Sandy’s work in Brea was evacuated. Close to 6:00 PST, my Mom informed me that the PetsMart in Yorba Linda had burned down. This is where Sandy worked before she transfered to the Brea Petsmart, and it is also just around the corner from where Patsy works at the Michael’s at Savi Ranch. It sounds as though the fire is moving in their direction (although I can’t really tell by the map on the OC Register’s website) and as of 7:41 PST, my mom said that they are getting ready to evacuate their pony to the Orange County Fair Grounds. Sandy mentioned that they are preping themselves for evacuation, if they in fact need to get out. So far they are all all right. But I am totally freaking out not knowing what is going on. I am definately not going to be sleeping well tonight 🙁
Announcing Baby #5
Well I went to the doctor yesterday and it’s confirmed, we are having another baby. Kyle and I have actually known for a few weeks now, we were just waiting for the doctor appointment to get an official due date before spreading the word. The due date is 28 June 2009. That makes me about 7 1/2 weeks along. We are very excited, and Ethan has been asking for another baby for awhile now, and the kids of course are excited. Dinah as expected is oblivious, but that is ok. We announced the news to the kids on Sunday and immediately Tyra ran over to me and asked “where’s the bump?” we had to explain that the baby is no bigger than one inch right now and is hiding in my belly.
We weren’t planning on having another baby at this current time, but obviously Heavenly Father has His own plans and at times they differ from our own plans. And when they differ, that is when Heavenly Father’s plan is chosen over our own. We know that this is what course our lives are to be taking at the current time and therefore we will be blessed for our faithfulness. I know that life is stressful for us right now with just the four kids, and Kyle working two jobs. But I know without a doubt that this is Heavenly Father’s plan. Another spirit is waiting to join our family and NOW is when that needs to happen. I know that Heavenly Father will help us through our trials, and they will seem as a small moment when we look back on them. I am excited for the future, and look forward to whatever the future may hold.
